Rockit 2004 - after 5 and a half years as a band and playing countless shows throughout hong kong and all over asia - we finally got to experience the most PERFECT sound we've EVER had. the sound at this Rockit was beyond belief - we all felt like we died and went to heaven. we could've easily played for hours and hours...(all photos: Pong)

1. the sound inside was intense...the crowd was insane...the
show ruled...
2. i love wearing a hat - underneath i feel like i'm in my own world...

4. substation madness...i couldn't see just how insane the crowd was getting
because there were so many people in front of us that i couldn't see in the back
where all the action was going on...

JANUARY 25, 2004 - Esplande - Singapore (photo's

1. alex - just got back from the Sars hospital
in Singapore so we could play this show...the poor guy didn't have a SINGLE
thing to eat all day!!! but he did it for the band - got on stage and rocked his
fucking ass off...even to a dead crowd.
2. just a photo of how huge the stage was...if ALL the Sub Station kids came to
this show it would've been so much fun...

4. just so you know that we weren't exaggerating - do you see any sort of
movement in there? nope - like i said! :-)
KING LY CHEE "STAND STRONG" CD RELEASE
SHOW!!!
(a night that will be within our hearts forever...thank you to everyone that
made this the most memorable nights not only for King Ly Chee, but for EVERYONE
that was there and who was involved...)
1. Fat Job represent the strength of our bond
for our friends...we have known these guys since the very first day King Ly Chee
ever started. Ah Ho (bass player) came up to the VERY first band practice that
King Ly Chee had...since that day he has evolved to become one of our closest
and most reliable friends. When we were faced with the question "who is going to
be your support band at your CD release show?", without even thinking twice, we
replied "Fat Job". here's Riz singing his section of the song "Zhen Zhouk (Be
Brave)"...
2. And then the day that turned out to be our longtime dream come true
began...right from the intro to the end of our 17 song set - it was
manic...people climbing on stage, people stagediving, people singing into
microphone...it was just chaos - BEAUTIFUL chaos! :-)
3. kevin - at the end of the night he said something along the lines of, "i have
never played a show where i had so much fun playing the drums..." a night that
he's going to remember. it so weird to think that the's only been in the band a
year and a half, it feels like he's been with us since the very first day! like
he was the original drummer...he definitely FEELS like he is King Ly Chee's
FIRST original drummer.
4. andy rocking it out in the corner for the ladies! :-) most of the girls
behind him are girlfriends of KLC or other close friends...that's the type of
community we have! unity ON and OFF the stage...
5. this was one of the highlights of the night...in the middle of the song "Lik
Kit (Frail Hands)", Ming (drummer of Fat Job) climbs up on top of the huge house
speakers and dives right off!!! so awesome!!! i hope people filmed that!!!
6. Guitars flying proudly in the air - that has become a King Ly Chee trademark!

7. Bodies flying in the air has become ANOTHER King Ly Chee trademark as well!

8. "Ladies and gentelmen, King Ly Chee would proudly like to introduce, the lead
singer of Beyond...Mr........Paul.....WONG!" Hahaha...he told us not to do this,
I did it anyway and he is laughing his ass off! :-)
9. Paul rocking his heart off in true rock style...the night before when we were
practicing his songs he said, "oh man, everything feels SO comfortable". he was
referring to the loudness of our amps, guitars, drums and the band in general...

with some cops at the Mong Kok Police Station - no really! he was! :-)
2. underneath andy's guitar neck you can see a dude on stage with his back to
the camera? that's chi wai - hahaha...he's the dude took a shitload of photos -

1. this show was a fucking disaster from the
very first time the organizers contacted us...amongst the many STUPID things
they said to us - the best was, "do you guys really need 2 guitar amps?" to this
i replied, "yes of course - we have two guitar players." then the organizer
replied, "but one guitar amp has 2 inputs". OH MY GOD!!! what a fucking
moron...ANYWAY: here's King Ly Chee's version of Travis Barker ripping shit up
as usual! :-)
2. the myth, the legend...alex CHUNG...
3. that "fuck you" was directed at the security guards and the organizers of
this show...:-)
4. awesome AWESOME photo of andy throwing his guitar...
5. and then this shit ass show begins to go EVEN MORE down hill...from the stage
i could see one security guard start using unnecessary force against the kids in
the audience. here's an awesome photo of what was happening...
6. then i couldn't take it anymore and jumped off the stage with my guitar in my
hand ready to beat the security guard up...
7. after about 10 minutes of trying to calm everything down...the show went on!

hostel that we stayed at...this is as we were leaving the hotel/hostel to get
something to eat...

1. 2003...it was a good start to the year! if
shows stay like this its going to be a great year!
2. this picture is GREAT! i seriously think
this is the best picture we have on our site...there's so much unity and
brothership in this picture...we love each other and its obvious - we don't even
have to say it to each other - anyone can just tell how close we are in hearts
and minds to know how important our bond is to each other...just by looking at a
picture or by seeing us on stage, people can see how committed we are to our
message.

1. they put both guitar amps right next to
each other and the bass amp alone in the other corner - that is SOOOO stupid.
just using basic common sense they would think that separating the guitar amps
would sound better. hahaha...people are surprising sometimes. ALSO:
