******************** JUNE 25, 2009: LONG DAY
Dude - had an insanely long day yesterday...happy it's WAY
over...and excited because today I'm watching the new Transformers
movie!!! OH YEAH!!!
昨天的日子太长了。。。很开心昨天已经完了。。。今天我跟我办好朋友将会看最新transformers!!! 太期待了！！！
So for the past 2 weeks I've been running everynight and it is
GRUELING! It has been insanely grueling because I keep trying to
push myself and run a bit more and pick up mypace. These past 3 days
I've been doing almost 50 minutes at a good pace so I'm VERY proud
of myself! :-)
这两个礼拜我每晚出去跑步。真的很辛苦。。。我每晚就推动我自己跑的再长一个路，然后我慢慢加速度。。。这三天我终于开始跑了差不多五十分钟。三天前我跑了一个小时！
可是我最开心是我跑的路：Actually, the proudest part is the running route that
I have:
1. Start under my house on Ashley Road 在我家下开始 （亞士厘道）
2. Run to the Star Ferry (TST of course) 尖沙咀天星码头的方向跑
3. Run along the harbor passed everything...然后全尖沙咀的海边跑 （我们这里有一条路 － 包括这个挺无聊的星光大道 － 十分无聊的达到）
4. Run up the pedestrian walkway that takes you to Hung Hom 然后跑上一个行人天桥向紅磡的方向）
5. Run along the inner road of the harbor towards the Hung Hom Ferry
Pier 在紅磡的海边跑到紅磡码头的方向
6. Run to the Hung Hom Ferry Pier and then turn around 到了紅磡码头然后转回去尖沙咀天星码头。。。
7. Do the same route but backwards all the way back to Star Ferry
Pier...到了天星码头的便利店买一个挺大瓶水！！！哈哈哈哈。。。。
I do this all in about 45 minutes!!! Pretty excited about
that...even more exciting - I bumped into our old awesome drummer
Kevin last night and he has lost CRAZY weight!!! And he said he's
been running along the TST harbor too! hahahahaha...great minds
think alike! :-) 我这个路大概四十五分钟左右可以做得到。真的很兴奋！！！昨天晚上我跟ａｌｉｓｏｎ逛逛的时候撞到我们以前非常厉害的鼓手ｋｅｖｉｎ．我一见到知道他也有减肥！然后他说因为他每晚有跑步！他跑的路跟我差不多！哈哈哈哈。。。可是他跑的时间比我晚很多！大概晚上的三点钟！哈哈哈哈哈。。。
Yesterday - I fell in love with the Hatebreed album "Rise of
Brutality" again...I forgot how good this album was...Great album -
awesome simple as fuck lyrics..their lyrics have spoken to me
especially this year..我昨天做ｇｙｍ的时候再爱上了ｈａｔｅｂｒｅｅｄ的舊唱片叫ｒｉｓｅ ｏｆ ｂｒｕｔａｌｉｔｙ。。。太牛逼了。。。歌词有简单 － 也代表的我的心。ｅｓｐｅｃｉａｌｌｙ今年。。。
So Brian called me yesterday in the afternoon and I could tell he
was very excited about something! Hahahahahaha...he started by
saying 昨天brian有打电话给我。我一听到他的声音知道很兴奋！:
"Hey you know a famous Taiwanese singer named 范曉萱。你认识这个台湾的歌手吗
范曉萱？"
I said, "Nope...never heard of him" 我回答，没有
He then said, "Well he's a HUGE singer and basically every single HK
person knows who he is..." 然后他说，反正在香港差不多每个人一定听过这个歌手！他是非常出名的。
I replied, "Okay" 我说，哦
He then said, "Well the reason I'm telling you about him is that
he's in Hong Kong for some show and he was just doing an interview
on the radio. The DJ asked him if he knows any Hong Kong bands. The
first band he said was Beyond, then the second band he said was King
Ly Chee!!!" 然后他说，我提他的原因是他现在是在香港宣传的演出。他刚才是电台做个访问。这个电台的主持人有问他
你认识什么香港的乐队？。然后他有说"我认识beyond.............还有king ly chee"!!!!
I replied "WHAT?!?!??! That's pretty cool!!!"我回答，真的吗？！？！？？！？！非常酷！！！
I could tell Brian was very proud about this! We were named AFTER
Beyond?!?!?! WHAT?!?!?! That's crazy!!! It's awesome that people
outside of Hong Kong know who we are! We haven't heard our name
mentioned on the radio in a very LONG time so that was very nice of
this person to name us...我感觉到brian对这件事挺proud.
这代表荔枝王就在他的心里有一个很深的位子。:-) 这个歌手放了我们的名字在beyond之后？！？？！！真的很酷！！
If you read this website (yeah right - hahahahaha), we're still here
after 10 years!!! The players may have changed a million times, but
the heart's the same and like I've written in many songs these past
10 years, there's NO GIVING UP FOR ME NO MATTER WHAT. 范曉萱

I have been subscribing to news magazines like Time for many many
years...I think any singer of a heavy band (especially hardcore)
that doesn't read news-related media (whether that be magazines,
newspapers, websites, etc) is SOOOOO weird. What the hell do you
write about when you don't read? How can you present an educated
argument when you don't do any homework to prepare support and
evidence for your songs? 好的 -
到了我今天最想说的题目。我真的不知道我怎么可以用中文代表我所想说的事情。。。可是我会尽量试一试。。。

Anyway, this latest issue of Time magazine is the best issue I have
read EVER. The entire issue is about all the events that took place
in 1989. Of course when we all think about 1989 the main incident
that comes to mind is what happened in Beijing. But, we all forget
the many MANY other things that happened all over the world that
same year!!! And this issue of Time talks about every single
incident that took place all over the world and the articles are
written by people who were actually THERE!!!
Honestly, with every article I read in this issue, I felt myself get
that much more smarter, and definitely more cultured and
educated...it's a great feeling. If you have a chance - then go get
this issue...the issue is called - 1989 - 20 Years Ago, The World
Changed.
Damn - now I have to translate all that...shit.

JUNE 19, 2009: IRON MAIDEN FLIGHT 666 DVD!!!!!!!!!!!!
OH MY GOD!!! If you are a TRUE fan of metal then you HAVE to
watch this DVD!!! This is a DVD following Iron Maiden when they want
their HUGE world tour where the singer actually flew the plane that
took them from stop to stop!!! (Hence the name Flight 666)...大家爱金属音乐的兄弟姐妹需要马上去看Iron
Maiden的最新DVD!!! 这DVD是关于他们最新全地球的巡演！！！他们巡演的时候是他们的注音Bruce
Dickinson开飞机！！！从一个占到第二个站都是开飞机！！！
I just can't believe how HUGE this band is...of course I knew
they were huge...when I first got into them I was a 12 year old
little kid and just wanted to listen to some good metal...and they
were the best at the time to me. Now I listen back to all their
stuff and I can't believe just HOW GOOD THEY WERE!!! There's still
no metal/melodic band that is better then Iron Maiden in my eyes...我真的不相信这个乐队是那么大！！！当然我十二岁的时候第一次听他们的唱片我已经知道他们是金属音乐里面其中一个最厉害的乐队。可是你看这个dvd的时候你真的不相信他们有那么多人也支持他们！！！你还有记得他们从来没有一个主流电台节目支持他们的音乐和乐队。。。所以他们有那么多歌迷是因为这般支持者是真的支持这个乐队的音乐！！！非常好的感觉
因为我也是其中一个Iron Maiden的支持者！！！ UP THE IRONS!!!
To think that that this band got so big without ever being played on
mainstream radio or TV is just unbelievable...
You all HAVE to watch this DVD ASAP!!!
JUNE 18, 2009: NANJING NANJING南京南京
So I finally watched this movie...我昨天终于看了这部电影。。。
I had to brace myself before I watched it. I actually had to sit
down and be mentally prepared for all the things that I was about to
see. I read "The Rape of Nanjing" many many years ago and in that
book I had to put it down MANY times because of all the horrible
things that happened to the poor Chinese people of this city...The
book was written in such graphic detail that it scared me from
continuing to read the book. But to better understand history, we
can't run away from what happened so I built up the courage and
continued to read the book.
看这部电影之前我用了一点儿时间准备我自己。我有准备我自己的心态因为我已经听了不少人说这部电影的镜头是非常非常清楚。。。我几年前有看了一本书叫The
Rape Of
Nanjing。。。这本书是非常非常恐怖。我看这本书的时候差不多有嘔几次。。。这个那么恐怖的事情怎么可以发生？！？！有时候我真的不想继续看这本书。。。可是如果我们要学东西，学怎么做好人，那我们不可以隐瞒很敏感的事情。。。所以我有force自己继续看。
I needed to do the same thing as I watched this movie. Every few
minutes I would look at the clock hoping that that movie was almost
over...but it kept
going...我看这部电影跟我那本书一样需要force自己继续看。没几分钟我会看着我的钟希望这部电影只有多几分钟然后完了。。。可是没有。。。过了一个很恐怖的镜头又到另外一个恐怖的镜头。。。
I think just like all the movies made about the holocaust, this is
another movie that everyone SHOULD watch to better understand the
evil that transpired in Nanjing. 我觉得跟大屠杀的电影一样 -
全世界有看南京南京。。。全世界有看这个时候在这个城市发生了什么恐怖的东西。。。

JUNE 17, 2009: GUANGZHOU, NEXT STOP CEBU and BOHOL!!!
玩完广州！下一站菲律宾的海滩城市：宿霧和保和島！！！
Alison and I had a GREAT time in Guangzhou this past
weekend...we went there especially to go shopping in Guangzhou's
wholesalers market where things are cheap AS HELL and they have
million and millions of things out there. She managed to walk away
with quite a few jems so that was great. Other then that, of course
we had to go up to EAT!!! And eat what you might ask? Xin Jiang Cai!!
We ate there the first night with our bro He Hee and his girlfriend.
That was awesome...good food good
company...我跟我女朋友上个周末去了广州玩几天。。。我们的目的就是去广州的批发市场！！！挺大！！！比北京的大很多！！！他们这边的东西挺多。。。价钱挺低。。。她买了很多衣服所以这个经验对她来说真的不错！！！我们的兄弟hee
hee有带我们去批发市场。去广州当然需要吃东西了！！吃什么东西？你认识的活你知道 -
一定是吃新疆菜！！！我们第一个晚上去了吃新疆菜。。。挺好。。。挺饱！！！哈哈哈哈。。。吃完了我们去了荔湾区的沙面。。。dude...这里是十分好看也很舒服。。。这边的建筑全部很舊的。我很喜欢的建筑所以见到全一区都是这样
- 我是挺开心。。。
Next week - Alison and I are going back to the Philippines and
hanging out in Cebu and Bohol!!! SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO EXCITED ABOUT
THIS!!! I just hope it's not raining the whole time we're
there...but we're on the beach so even if it rains it'll still be

香港新闻：我们这个周末终于会排练！！！我们去菲律宾巡演之后没有排练过！！！很期待再看到荔枝王的成员。。。
Now - I have been following this Mui Wo rehab school issue for the
past week and I have very mixed feelings about it. My first reaction
is that the people of Mui Wo who are complaining about this school
being moved there as being very unsupportive, uncaring, unkind, to
these poor kids who are hooked on drugs and NEED a place where they
can rehabilitate themselves and then one day enter society again.
But these poor kids are probably listening to all these Mui Wo
residents complaining and wondering if society hates them.
我这几天有跟着这个在梅窩开一个吸毒人員康復中心。这边的市民是非常反对开这个中心。。。他们的道理是他们自己的学校已经太多小朋友了

他们这边需要多一点普通的学校。可是昨天的新闻说其实这边的本地的学生真的不是很多。政府那么少数量的学生不值得开一个普通学校为了那么少的学生。
The news has mentioned that the residents' main complaint is that
their schools are already overcrowded and they want the government
to open a school for the RESIDENTS first before they open this
school to rehabilitate drug addicts. But then yesterday's newspaper
says that the actual number of people who attend schools in Mui Wo
is such a small number that it doesn't make sense to open a school
for them.
这就是我的想法。。。如果你们不同意，当然没有问题。。。我们这里有言论自由 － 你们想说什么就说。。。当然最好听的意见通常是成熟的意见 － 有看过新闻，有看过其他网站，有读过书，才建立你自己的意见。因为这样才是一个成熟人的方法想一想东西。。。
The point is that this whole feeling of "community" seems lost in
today's society. We no longer think of our neighbors or other
citizens as part of a "community" that we should be ready to help
and look out for. These poor children who are addicted to drugs need
our help...they've probably been shunned from their families, have
been looked down at by society, and we need to do all we can to help
them through this turbulent time, provide them with the skills they
need in order to be able to rejoin society later on...
Those are my thoughts....
JUNE 12, 2009: SCHOOLS CLOSED学校停了。。。
So suddenly schools closed yesterday so we had to quickly say
goodbye to the children...Wasn't a very sad day because I've got a
very exciting 2 years coming up at HKIS so I'm excited about all of
that...I'll see most of these kids next year anyway since I'm also
moving up to the first
grade...昨天突然我们全港的幼儿园停了因为这个猪病毒。。。今天应该是我们跟小朋友的最后一天。。。但是我不是不开心
-因为我明学年有个很兴奋新的位子。。。很多今年的小朋友我明年都会见到。。。
Tomorrow my girlfriend and I
are going up to Guangzhou!!! Can't wait to spend a few days there
and eat Xinjiang cai!!! :-) See you in GZ my friends!!! 明天我跟alison会上去广州玩几天！！！很兴奋再可以上去。。。希望我会见到我的广州的兄弟！！！

Overthrown is a KICK ASS Singaporean hardcore band that plays
hardcore in the vein of Strife. Strife to me is one of the best 90's
era hardcore bands and to know there's a band in Asia that is
greatly influenced by them is AWESOME! hehehehe...Overthrown是一对非常牛b的硬核乐队。。。他们是从星加坡来的
- 我们好像在2004年左右有跟他们演过出。。。如果你们喜欢九十年代Victory Records那些硬核 -

China will now require all computers sold inside China to come with
software that will block websites... :-( That is so sad...it is so
sad that a government is so scared that it's people will find
information on the internet that will influence them. Maybe info
about VIIV, or other corruption, or other people in China who are
also angry or upset about things.
内地的政府现在会开始要求所有内地里卖的电脑点装一个软体。。。这个软体会堵很多内地人上很多网站。。。我觉得这个是一个非常差的事情。。。我也是一听到就觉得很不开心。。。内地的政府为什么那么怕他们自己的市民？他们怕什么呢？在网页上有什么资料他们不想他们市民看呢？如果他们的市民看到
- 会有什么问题呢？ 除非有些资料会代表政府的错和孵化和缺点。。。。所以不像市民看得到。
一天内地的政府会不怕他们的市民。。。一到那天
- 全内地的同胞终于可以享受我们香港所有的自由。。。
One day the Chinese government won't be scared of it's own
people...that's the day where Chinese people in China will FINALLY
have all the freedoms that we enjoy in HK.
JUNE 8, 2009: LAST WEEK OF SCHOOL!!!
Yes!!! This is my last week as a full-time TA!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!
WOOHOO!!! Starting next school year I will be a half-time teacher
and a half-time TA...needless to say I am SUPER excited about it...非常开心。。。这个礼拜是我最后做专职TA的位子。。。我明年的学年（今年的八月开始）我会开始我新的位子
- 就是一般专职老师，一般专职ta...我等了很久！！！挺开心终于到这一天。。。
But what I'm excited about is that KLC right now has 15 new
songs...oh my GOD...of course some of these songs have been sitting
around for a couple years now...but since we've got Egas, Ho and Ken
in the band - the energy to write more stuff has been coming out of
nowhere...可是最开心的事是我们荔枝王已经有了十五首新歌！！！十五首！！！我们现在等我们的兄弟egas考完试然后我们可以正式开始录音！！！
Honestly, I miss these bastards...we don't see each other and I
personally haven't even been in the bandroom since BEFORE we went to
the Philippines! Holy shit!!! That's a LONG ASS time ago!!! But I
don't want to go up until both Egas and Ken are back and so we can
finally rock out with the FULL King Ly Chee...我很想荔枝王的成员。。。我从去菲律宾之后还没上过我们的band房。。。我想等到全队可以排练才会上去。。。
So anyway...Killswitch Engage has released a video of their
newest song...this song is CRAZY POP!!! hahahaha...there's nothing
metal about it at all I think. But you know what? Who fucking
cares!!! This is such a great song - and honestly, I don't listen to
Killswitch Engage for my moshing needs - I listen to Killswitch
Engage for this INSANELY good choruses. And yes, this song has an
AMAZING chorus...the song is called "Starting Over" (pretty damn emo...hehehehe...)...good

Okay - so our young little bros who are quickly becoming the
next generation torch bearers of Hong Kong Hardcore hahahahaha...Bridged
are playing a show this Wednesday at The Wanch!!! Seeing that
they're actually too young to be allowed into The Wanch - we all
have to go there and support this young hardcore band!!! :-) See you

JUNE 5, 2009: WHAT A HISTORIC BEAUTIFUL NIGHT!!!
No...not for as long as I live will I forget last night...我永远不可以忘昨天晚上的行动。。。 I will tell my children and their children that I was there when
150,000 people took part in an emotional and memorable candlelight
vigil. 我一定会跟我将来的儿女说和跟他们的儿女说 -
你的爸爸有去过参加这个那么感动和激动的一晚。。。Macau also had one!!!
澳门也有一个活动！！！挺开心看到在多一个中国里面的城市会有这样的行动。。。 There are pictures of the
Macau event online as well!!! That is wonderful that Macau also had
an event commemorating this incident...
Later on that night I had a great conversation with my brother Joe
in Mensheng...this event has led both of us to think of SO MANY
things... NEVER FORGET.

JUNE 2, 2009: HONG KONG HARDCORE BAND: BRIDGED!!!!
Oh yeah!!! FINALLY some actual Hong Kong hardcore news!!! Our
lovely bros in the Hong Kong hardcore band called Bridged has
finally uploaded some songs on their myspace!!! I'm so excited to
hear these songs and the song Victory is killer!!! Please check them
out on their myspace and keep in mind, these guys are only 14 to 16
years old!!!
终于有本地香港硬核的消息！！真的说好像已经过了几十年才有些香港硬核的消息。。。反正现在有了！！！我们的兄弟Bridged终于上载了他们几首歌！！！我已经等了很久

现在非常高兴终于可以听他们的歌。他们的一首个叫"victory"是很牛b！你听他们的歌的时候请记住他们的成员就是从十四岁到十六岁！！！挺年轻！！！真有希望！
I feel like it's been FOREVER since we've written about anything
remotely hardcore related in Hong Kong. Truth be told - nothing much
has happened hardcore related...no new bands, no new shows...it's a
weird little place. It's especially weird for me because once upon a
time there was an AMAZING little scene going on here...I can almost
pinpoint EXACTLY when it all started going South. But I'll keep that
to myself. I just read STW's awesome little blog that they posted on
their myspace and as I was reading it I thought to myself "Oh my
gosh, I remember I used to write that after every SINGLE Hong Kong
show we used to play！" I really was so grateful back then to all
those people who supported us and went absolutely CRAZY for us. They
don't anymore. But at least they're STILL going crazy for our
fucking great friends in STW and allowing them to experience the
passionate supportive years that we used to have once a long time
ago. 我觉得这几年的香港是很奇怪的几年。。。我还记得有一个时候香港的地下情况是非常厉害 -
很有热情，很有诚意。。。（其实我还记得那一个刻开始坏了。。。）一开始坏 -
那种很诚实的感觉很难可以回来了。。。可以回来吗？很难说。。。我刚刚看完我们另外兄弟的乐队shepherds the weak的blog.
我看他们所写的时候我开始想 - 我们很久以前也有一模一样的感觉。玩完每一场本地的演出我也会这样写 -
因为我很感谢和感激他人对我们的支持和热情。。。我们当时支持者的支持真不可比较。。。当时我们就是感觉到什么叫真支持。。。可惜 -
那时候本地香港支持荔枝王的感觉已经没有了。。。
反正我们对我们兄弟STW挺兴奋因为他们有机会感觉到这样很热情的支持！！:-)

Yes, all my friends know that I am not a big fan of Hong Kong
anymore. Especially not like I used to
be...我们最近的朋友知道我最近对香港没有什么好的感觉。我以前对香港的爱情差不多没有了。。。今年是更加幸苦的一年。。。 This week - I have especially NOT been a fan of this city. I
really truly believe that 2009 is the year where all of Hong Kong's
crazy, lunatic, mentally unbalanced, psychiatric patients, are
coming out in full force.
这个礼拜的很恐怖的事情让我更加觉得香港真的有病。有一个很深的病。。。我觉得不能治到。。。今年所有精神病的人出来了。。。大家小心一点儿。。。
You should all have heard about the horrible tragic incident that
happened 3 days ago. This incident involved a 3 year old boy being
chopped to death by an insane man who got into an argument with this
little poor innocent boy's father. The fact that this cold-blooded
killer was recently released from psychiatric care and living in
Hong Kong free - drives me CRAZY!!! Where are the regular checkups
on these people? What is the government doing to make sure these
people are still getting some sort of help?!?!?!
你们应该已经听过了几天前的挺恐怕的新闻。。。有个三岁的小孩给一个精神病的打死。。。不是打死 -
这个精神病的人用了挺大的刀捣碎这个小孩。。。真的很恐怕。。。这个杀手是最近是精神病医院出来的。。。我想知道他出来之后政府安排的什么东西检查他的进步?

This is the year that we should all be careful...all the mentally
unstable people are out amongst us...we've got one idiot on a radio
station, we've got cold blooded killers, we've got people throwing
acid off of the top of buildings in mong kok...we live in a crazy
city that seems to breed crazies.

MAY 27, 2009: SONG WRITING HAS GONE BANANAS...
Dude...this past week I have written 3 songs and I'm going crazy
listening to these damn things...one of the songs the rest of the
guys weren't very impressed so they gave me a huge challenge to fix
that damn thing - and last night I was finally able to fix it and it
sounds SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO good! I literally JUST sent it to those
guys to see what they think!!!
When this album finally comes out you guys will be so excited to
hear it! (those of you in HK probably don't care if it comes out or
not so my last sentence wasn't intended for you)...To me it just
seem like we're taking the song writing back to actual SONGS...not
just a million parts put together with no flow etc...to me a true
song can stand the test of time...and I think that's the direction
we're heading in...
Can't wait to get in the studio and recording all this shit!!! To
hear Egas beat the shit out of the drums on these songs is going to
be amazing!!!
MAY 25, 2009: GREAT WEEKEND!
These past few weeks after coming back from performing in the
Philippines and Guangzhou - I have been feeling insanely bored!!! I
miss playing man - I miss being on stage! (I do not however miss
playing in places that don't give a shit about us.) These past few
days all I do is wonder when our next shows in Guangzhou and the
Philippines are going to be!!!
我这几个礼拜每天会想一想我们什么时候再有机会演出！！！什么时候再有机会去广州和菲律宾演出。。。我真的很想演出。。。
Then this weekend we had a good time hanging out with Egas and
friends again...I haven't seen my band members in like 2 weeks so it
was AWESOME to finally see them all again! Kent didn't come though
so Kent if you're reading this - I'm going to kick your ass for not
coming!!! :-) We all miss you dude!
这个周末我终于有见荔枝王的成员。。。我们差不多两个礼拜没有见面！！！挺想他们！就是kent哥没有来 - 快点儿过来了kent哥！！

I can't wait to watch that new movie about an area in HK called Tin
Shui Wai. Sounds horrific...a very sad story - the movie is based on

No - I'm not going to bitch about the rain...we all need rain every

Your Dead? After releasing such a good album called Cover Your
Tracks - everything else they've released after fucking SUCKS!!!
They just released a new song from their upcoming new album and it's
HORRIBLE!!!
I don't understand this whole discussion about the new road that's
going to be constructed in Central on the reclaimed land. What is
the point of this road when in a few years this road will ALSO
become congested? The point shouldn't be to allow for more cars to
be comfortable - but to encourage LESS cars to be on the road. The
goal should be the environment and building a system that allows for
less cars to come in during peak hours and build up infrastructure
so efficient and convenient that people realize that they don't need
to drive in HK at all - our MTR, bus system is one of the best in
the world! You can practically go door to door without ever needing
a car.

This is a pretty amazing video...this is one of the reasons I fell
in love with punk and hardcore many many years ago - because each
song was expressing an important message that would make you THINK.
Punk/hardcore to me was NEVER about TELLING people what to think -
but presenting information in music or lyrics that would allow the

new Earth Crisis and Hatebreed's cover album For the Lions
yesterday. 我昨天买了earth crisis和hatebreed的新全cover的CD. 两个是非常牛b! BOTH are
awesome!!! Earth Crisis的第一手歌就是一首straight edge歌!!! :-) 当然我挺开心了。。。
Earth Crisis comes off on the first album with the first song being
a fiery straight edge song! Hell yeah!!! :-) Good shit...Here's an

GIVE ME EARTH CRISIS Speaking of straight edge - so we found out from Have Heart when
they were in GZ and HK last week that after this whole big world
tour they were actually going to break up. But I didn't want to say
anything on our website. But they have finally announced it on
websites all over the world so I can say it now. Their last show is
October this year...如果我们说straight edge - 这几年只有不多的乐队宣传这个生活法式 -
最大的乐队应该是Champion和Have Heart. 上个礼拜我们跟Have
Heart巡演的时候他们有通知他们玩完这个全球的巡演他们的乐队就完了。可是当时他们还没有通知全球所以我也不放这个消息在我们的网站。可是昨天很多其他website开始通知这个消息了
- 所以我现在可以说咯哦。他们今年的十月会玩他们最后一场演出。

我们在菲律宾做的访问 PHILIPPINES KING LY CHEE INTERVIEW
Brian found a link to an interview that King Ly Chee did in the
Philippines by our good friend Keith (Thought Market)! I forgot
about this interview and I actually don't remember the interview
being that long! I kind of remember it now - but I had taken so much
medicine earlier that day that I had no idea what I was saying and
if I was even making sense. Thank god watching this interview back
now - it seems that I was making some sense! :-) Keith did a great
job editing the interview!!! Really quite touching watching it
back...I just wish he was on the road with us to the other shows!!!
That would've been AWESOME!!!
昨天Brian找到了我们在菲律宾做的访问。我忘了我们有做过这个访问。可能是因为我当天下午突然生病了所以我吃了很多药因为我想马上可以好。。。做访问的时候我还有很病的感觉。反正菲律宾那边他们已经上载了这个访问。

Damn man - I'm missing the KLC dudes already! hahahaha...these past
two weeks has been on crazy long time of getting to know each other
and just realizing that these members can actually work and get
along! FINALLY - nothing like being in a band with people that you
actually LIKE and enjoy being around.

MAY 12, 2009: VIDEO OF US PLAYING in GUANGZHOU!!!
I've uploaded a video of one of our songs that we
played at the unbelievable guangzhou show. The song is the Chinese
version of "Promise". Watching this video over and over again moved
me in ways that I couldn't have imagined...thank you
Guangzhou...THANK YOU!!!
Guangzhou - has been the highlight of my
life...with one night in Guangzhou I feel like I was able to
actually realize one of my ultimate dreams of playing a show where
over 300 people were singing along to every word...we had so many
friends and supporters show up at that show it was crazy...广州

MAY 4, 2009: TOUR OVER = BOOHOO :-(
What can we say that we haven't said on this site many times
before? Those who know me know that I live for touring - that's one
my all time favorite things to do. This tour was by far the BEST
tour we have ever done...and for a band from Hong Kong - we have
toured A LOT (of course not compared to bands who tour in the US or
Europe - but like I said, for a band from Hong Kong). This was the
best for many reasons - but mainly, because of the different
personalities that were on this tour...the 5 of us worked well
together because for the first time not ONCE did touring actually
feel like "work". All we did was hang out, drive a LOT, sleep a lot,
eat plenty of SISIG (Chicken Sisig that is), laugh with each other,
get each other excited to go nuts, support each other especially
since for 3 of the KLC members - this was their FIRST show with KLC
(and for Ah Ho - this was the first time he has played on stage with
a band in over 6 years!!!), played 3 great shows (I don't know how
many of you could do what this band did - the very FIRST show for
this line-up was in front of over 30,000 people! I am so proud of
these guys - and we're all proud of each other I'm SURE!), and the
best part made? Is that we made some more awesome AWESOME friends...
Our last show got cut short because of going over the time
limit, so I didn't get to thank the millions of people that King Ly
Chee wanted to thank for hooking up this tour for us...
I think hands down - the FIRST person all of us in King Ly Chee MUST
thank is the man, the legend and the person who hooked this entire
tour up for us:
MR. JOEY the DIZON MUSTARD! - Without this man - this tour
would NOT have come together. Not only was this guy also in charge
of putting on the Philippines' largest annual rock festival Summer
Slam - but the day after Summer Slam he slept MAYBE for like 2
minutes, then got in a van with us to our next show 2 (what became
like 3) hours away and played with his band Intolerant and hung out
with us...We owe our beloved brother Joey so much and he is the main
reason that when our departing plane eventually left the tarmac in
Manila (interestingly - it was pouring rain - don't get me all emo
about this coincidence that it was raining as our tour officially
came to a close...I was ridiculously emo when the plane took off)
that we were so bummed to be leaving...
JOEY - thanks for being such a great dude, such a huge supporter of
King Ly Chee, and just such a class-act that is professional in
every way...WE LOVE YOU BROTHER!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR EVERYTHING
(now go get some sleep!!! :-)
This tour couldn't have happened without our brothers who got
together in vans, again laughing, talking, and building lifelong
friendships:
TYPECAST - our bros Melvin and Steve...the Typecast roadies and road
manager (DUDES ARE SOOOOOO PROFESSIONAL!!!)...and then when we got
to each show we got to hang out with the other AWESOME AWESOME
Typecast bros - Pakoy and Chee (see you in HK soon!!! Typecast
taking over a stage in Hong Kong soon!!)!
BADBURN - easily the scariest band we have played with in a long
time! hehehehehe...Marvin - we frickin' love you and your band
brother!!! Thanks for not killing us hehehehehe...
PILEDRIVER - OUR FILIPINO HARDCORE COMRADES!!! We love seeing you
guys EVERY time brothers!!! You guys are our long lost family...and
I know we'll see you again and carry on our friendship as if the
last time we saw you guys was the previous weekend! :-) YO REGGIE -
I'm SOOOOOO SORRY! hahahahaha...CEBU JAN 2010!
SIN - these extreme metalheads reminded us every night that we have
to practice our instruments a little harder! Filipino Meshuggah
tearing it up!
INTOLERANT - dude...what the hell can we say about our favorite
Filipino metal band...from Joey to Russell (yes Russell - please
read that in an Indian accent like we did the entire tour every time
we saw you - thanks for not kicking our ass!), to our brothers Pepo
and Mic!!! These guys took care of us as if WE were Shadows Fall!
For a small band from Hong Kong, to have these kinds of friends who
stand behind us 150,000% and treat us with so much kindness, love
and respect is just beyond comprehension!!! To be playing with you
guys nightly was inspiring!!! :-) Every night Egas was like - "These
guys are so fucking good!!!" We can't WAIT to be on stage with you
guys again and again and again and again (CEBU 2010?!?!?). THANK YOU
SO MUCH!!!
SHEPHERDS - What are we going to do without these dudes? Our
brothers in arms roadied for us on this tour and we all noticed how
tough it was for these guys to be on tour and NOT be playing! It
sucked that they weren't on stage with us on this tour...but at
least they were there supporting and providing immense amounts of
love and encouragement! The best feeling for me personally was
getting off the stage after our last show and Mike looked right at
me and said "I'm SO proud of you guys" I almost lost my shit and
started crying then...He's a man of few words (when he's not joking
around and making us laugh) but when he said those choice few words
- I could feel it right through my heart...
TO THE ORGANIZERS OF THE SHOWS: Jen and Mali (Cavite), Jerk (Olongapo)
- thank you so much for believing in this tour and agreeing to put
it on for us!!! We hope we didn't cause too many problems for you
but we really appreciate your support and the time and energy it
must've taken you guys to make sure each show was a success!!!
And of course...there were countless other people we need to thank
that I cannot think off the top of my head...
The last people that I need to thank are the dudes in King Ly Chee -
especially the new dudes Ho, Egas, and Ken and of course our "ah suk"
and band doctor Dr. Wong (otherwise known as Brian): Thank you for
working so hard to make this band ready to do this tour in such a
short amount of time!!! We are all so proud of you guys!!! The tour
was a success in SO MANY ways - playing well is just one tiny
success - the fact that this line-up can actually TOUR is the
biggest success for me...GOOD JOB GUYS!

APR 28, 2009: WE LEAVE TOMORROW!!! 就是明天出发！！！
God...all I want to do is be on tour NOW!!! Urgh...天啊！！我只想巡演啊！！！为什么我还在香港呢？！？？！！
Watching the new As I Lay Dying DVD...honestly, it's frickin'
awesome. It's 3 discs and the first one is a HUGE extensive look at
their history. As I Lay Dying is one metal band that has gone
through 100 members changes JUST LIKE KING LY CHEE!!! HAHAHAHAHA...so
I have a new found respect for As I Lay Dying! They've persevered
through millions of changes because they believe in their band. Of
course selling over 1,000,000 millions albums helps keep your belief
alive! hahahaha...我昨天看了as i lay dying的新dvd. 真的不错 - 比hatebreed的dvd好看很多！！！我看as
i lay dying的dvd的时候最开心的事情是看到这个metal乐队欢乐挺多成员！跟我们一样！！！哈哈哈哈哈。。。挺好笑！！！起码看到坚持真有用。。。可是当然他们的分别是
卖了超过1,000,000cd 可以鼓励他们继续他们的乐队！哈哈哈。。。
ANYWAY
Philippines...we're only playing these OLD songs so learn them and
go fucking CRAZY: Unite Asia....and at the smaller shows we're
playing Promise. THAT'S IT!!! When we get there and let you hear and
feel our new shit - you'll understand why we have NO interest in

So I checked Records Rendezvous to see how many tickets we've
sold for our upcoming Have Heart/King Ly Chee show in Hong Kong.
Keeping in mind that we haven't played back in our so-called
"hometown" since April 08 - I didn't think that ticket sales were
going to be this funny! :-) We have sold a grand total of 3 tickets
so far! Hehehehehe...the funniest part is that we're going to Manila
in 2 days to perform in front of 24,000 people, and then one week
later we're coming back to Hong Kong to play in front of maybe 10
people! :-) A show's a show! 我昨天打电话给了一个cd店。我有问他们我们将会在香港演出的票卖了怎么样？因为我们从上年的四月没有在香港演出所以我自己以为可能起码有几十个人来看吧。可是我打电话问问他的时候他很紧张跟我说
对不起riz - 就卖了三张。。。。哈哈哈哈哈哈。。。我觉得挺好笑！ :-)
最好笑是我们后天是去菲律宾在二万多人面前演出然后下个礼拜回来我们的家可能就是十个人面前演出！真好笑！:-) 可是演出就是演出 -
对我来说，一个人在或者一万人在没有什么分别 - 都是一个机会玩我们想玩的音乐！:-) 我真的很想知道这三个人是谁 -
很想打电话给他们感谢他们的支持。虽然可能是他们就是想看have heart! 哈哈哈哈。。。可是都要说谢谢。 Good times baby...good times!

Oh my god...SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO EXCITED!!! We leave to tour the
Philippines in 3 days!!! I don't need to tell you I'm sure but we're
SOOOOOOOOO crazy excited to be leaving HK to be playing 3 shows in
the Philippines!!! To all our brothers out there - we'll see you soon!!! Piledriver,

AGAIN!!!
I'm going to keep this short because I really need to TRY to
sleep...it's going to be impossible to go to sleep because I am too
excited...it's crazy...CRAZY!!! Actually - I wish all I had to do with my life was tour. Playing
shows every night - playing your music that you believe in...I wish
I could just do that...
APR 24, 2009: TOUR TOUR TOUR TOUR巡演巡演巡演!!!
This time next week we'll be on tour in the Philippines!!!
Philippines has quickly become one of my favorite places to perform
in Asia!!! The support we get there is incredible and of course
we're so grateful, especially me because it's such an awesome
feeling to know that after we've been doing this for so long - there
STILL are places in the world who really appreciate us. Our shirts
SHOULD be ready before we leave - we're just checking up on them
now.

So finally - I understand why most people in HK can't stand
Jackie Chan. For years I had no idea why so many of my local HK
friends didn't like him - even Alison can't STAND him (she actually
refuses to watch any movies that he stars in).
我终于明白了为什么我很多本地香港的朋友恨成龙。我很久已经不明白他们这个感觉 （我女朋友从来没有陪我看他的电影 - 她拒绝看成龙的电影）。
This past week he has been in the news everyday because of the
stupidest thing I think anyone could ever say about Chinese people.
He has told the world that he thinks Chinese people "need" to be
controlled - and he said "I don't know whether it is better to have
freedom or to have no freedom". Only an idiot who has NEVER EVER
lived in a world where all his freedoms are restricted - his freedom
of speech is restricted, where websites are restricted, where people
are terrified to speak against the government, where people who have
differing views of the government are taken away in the middle of
the night, where when any "sensitive dates" come - then certain
people in the country's houses are guarded so these people can't
come

APR 20, 2009: KLC SHOW LAST NIGHT 昨天晚上荔枝王演出:-)
Last night was probably one of the best nights I've EVER had in
my life...I'm lucky that I've had a lot of good nights in my life -
but last night was easily one of the BEST if not THE best!!! :-)
昨天晚上可能是我最近的最正的一晚。。。 In preparation for our upcoming Philippines tour and two dates
with Have Heart, we decided it was important to try out a show for
the new guys to get used to. So we decided why not just call our
closest friends up to our bandroom and play a show for them!! So
that's what we did and we had so many friends come up and spend the
night with us! Last night we played our entire Philippines tour set
to our friends and watched them enjoy it and get into the
music...为了将会出的菲律宾巡演 -
我们决定了搞一个很小的演出在我们自己的band房里面！就是请了我们最身边的朋友上来支持和给他们听和看我们荔枝王的六首新歌！！！
他们有上来站在我们的很小的band房看和听我们全部新歌。。。可是还有几首新歌我们没玩因为还没有准备好！哈哈哈哈。。。
Then after the REAL party got started and there were free jam
sessions going on everywhere! :-) Musicians were unleashed in the
KLC bandroom last night...SUCH A GREAT NIGHT!!!
我们玩完之后真的party开始了！！！挺多朋友拿了不同的乐器开始弹和打！！！挺开心。。。看到我们全部音乐人之需要音乐就开心了。。。

Thank you to everyone who came...for us, this year so far has been a
lot of trouble with stuff going on in Hong Kong. But last night no
one had any negative thoughts! While you guys were all there, all we
could feel was genuine love, respect, support, and friendship!!

APR 14, 2009: METAL IN PAKISTAN!!!
Oh my god...I don't think you have ANY idea how happy this makes
me!!! Yesterday I saw an article posted on CNN about a battle of the
bands competition in Pakistan!!! And the article also included a
video of some of these bands performing! Everything is very ghetto
but come on - there's metal in Pakistan!!! Check out the video here
and get inspired!! Especially read the article if you can and check
out what an organizer of shows discusses about what she's most
worried about with putting on shows!我真的不相信！！！我刚才看完cnn.com。。。他们有个文章是关于巴基斯坦里的metal乐队！！！记者写的是关于一个乐队比赛。。。在这个文章里可以看到一个很短的短片！！！oh

他不是怕别人会说什么是非或者什么谎话，或者的小人会写一首歌关于什么什么人，或者一个笨蛋会站在他们的演出外面鼓励人不进去。。。他们安排演出的时候最怕给恐怖分子攻击他们的show.
OH MY GOD!!!挺可怕。。。
Hahhaahhaa...so I spent the past few days at Disneyland with
Alison and her younger sister. We took her there to celebrate her
birthday! That was very exciting because she had never been...she
definitely had a great time and enjoyed herself which is important! Last night I came home late and had a conversation with a member
of an HK band about some very important stuff regarding his very own
band members. While I was having this conversation I kept asking
myself, "Are you sure you want to be having this conversation? Do
you really trust this person to be having this type of
conversation?" And I seriously don't know if I should've had this
conversation but his band member was the one who approached Ho and
told him not to join KLC in October of 2008. At the end of the day -
the reason I had this conversation was because it is hard for this
underground community in HK to truly be "united" or "positive" until
people have these types of conversations with their own band
members. What does "unity" mean? Does "unity" mean getting on stage
and singing about it and talking about it in interviews, but at the
same time your own band members are going around behind each band
and talking shit? Give me a break! How does that TRULY build unity?
No fucking way.
昨天晚上我回家之后在msn跟另外一队香港乐队的成员有个对话。这个对话是关于他其中一个成员（这个成员上年底有联络Ho -
鼓励他不加入我们荔枝王）。我跟这个人讲话的时候我有问我自己 你现在说什么！你为什么问他这个东西？！你可以相信他吗？！？！
可是我现在，在这个那么黑暗的时候，我真的没有其他办法。真的要问。因为我在这几个月有开始想 - 香港地下音乐社会可以有真正的
"团结吗？或者，我们真的可以有个 "正面" 的环境吗？对你们自己的乐队来说
团结是什么意思或者是什么样子呢？团结是不是就是上台唱和说得东西呢 -
是不是下台之后不要理你自己乐队的成员喜欢说是非或者你自己乐队的成员会联络另外一个乐队的成员鼓励他放弃那个乐队？这个代表团结吗？对不起
- 对我和其他荔枝王的成员和Shepherds the Weak的兄弟来说 - 这样的行为不可能代表团结。
True unity is when people use their hearts and minds in a mature way
and realize that the only to truly have "unity" is to communicate
more and learn about each other more, and then try to figure out how
to work TOGETHER for the good of the community. That is not easy to
do - but I don't think that's hard to do either!
我觉得真正团结是人用心和他们的能力做出的很正面的行动。真的相信团结的人会用一个很成熟的方法表达他自己 -
还会明白如果想这个圈子有团结那我们很需要用多点时间去联络别的乐队，用多点时间了解他人。我们有什么物会 -
我们为什么不用时间和其他联络的方法了解？
I think all bands right now should have these types of conversations
with their band members. Is it time to change right now? Are you
willing to change so that HK's underground scene can become healthy
again? 我自己觉得每个乐队需要跟他们自己的成员有这个对话。一个有团结香港地下社会对你来说重不重要呢？如果是重要 -
哪是不是到时间改变自己？为了我们明天正面和健康的地下社会 - 你行不行改变呢？
If you are willing to change - then maybe we can talk about "unity"
again. 如果你行改变 - 才可以说香港的将来会有团结。。。才有希望.
APR 9, 2009: NOFX BACKSTAGE PASS DVD
I was finally able to buy NOFX's latest DVD. This DVD is called
Backstage Pass and is a documentary of their almost 2 year world
tour. Yes - King Ly Chee is in it...it's crazy to see myself in this
DVD. And when you open the DVD box and look inside the DVD booklet,
you can see our name on two different pages. Then in the "thank you"
section they thank us like this: "Riz and King Ly Chee UNITE ASIA!"
How fucking cool is that!!! They even included the words "UNITE
ASIA"!我昨天终于买了nofx的新dvd. 这个dvd有我们荔枝王的几个短片。不是很长 -
真的就是几秒。。。可是还是很奇怪 - 在nofx的dvd里面可以见到荔枝王的成员和名字。他们这个dvd里面的书也看到我们的名字。。。在谢谢人的位子可以看到他们谢谢我们。。。他们是这样谢谢我们：riz

Unbelievable...
Regardless of the fact that King Ly Chee is in it somehow, this
is probably one of the most entertaining DVD's I've bought! I've
watched some of these parts over and over again already!!!
hehehehehe...it really is SOOOOOOOOO funny...可是真的说 - 这个dvd是挺好看。。。我买了那么多dvd我还是觉得这个是其中一个dvd我可以再看再看再看。。。是真的那么好看。可是我对我们的兄弟shanwei很可惜

APR 7, 2009: WORD UP
Okay started to make the Have Heart promo video yesterday...I'm
pretty happy with it. It will definitely encourage you all to
think... Earth Crisis - straight edge metal-hardcore legends (before the
term "metalcore" ever existed) has uploaded a new song from their
upcoming album!!! Can't wait to get this...it's so cool to hear mid
90's metal-hardcore again...
Nothing much to update now...I have the week off this week and I
have no idea what I'm going to do with my time off! hahahahaha...stay
at home and watch movies, videos, etc...
APR 5, 2009: GREAT WEEKEND
Yes...for me personally, Misery Signals has so far been the most
incredible band that I have had the pleasure to be involved in
putting on a show for. They were just unbelievable...their music,
their musicianship, just how humble they are...their stage presence
- they were just the most amazing dudes, and the put on an
incredible incredible show. 对我来说，misery signals,
是我最满意安排的演出！他们就是一队非常厉害的乐队，他们每一个人也是很厉害 （特别当然是他们的鼓手！！！OH MY
GOD!!!)，他们的演出是非常牛b
(很明显他们挺有表演的经验）。。。而且他们一点都不自大。。。他们没有特大的expectation，就开心他们有机会在香港演出。
It is always weird to put on shows for bands like these that I've
been listening to for years, and to then actually build
"friendships" with them is NUTS! Feels so
surreal...我觉得这样的情况是很奇怪。。。我几年前开始听他们，当时我怎么知道过了几年我会帮这个乐队安排一个香港的演出，而且我会跟他们做朋友。。。真的很奇怪。。。可是当然是一个很开心的事因为他们是证明，从hardcore文化出来的metal乐队一点都不自大。从hardcore出来的乐队一定是很谦逊的。。。虽然他们是一对metalcore的乐队。
Anyway...thanks everyone for coming out to support this show! It was
worth it I thought...反正谢谢大家过来看和支持这场演出。。。我自己觉得是非常值得一个演出。。。
So our next SFS show is with Have Heart on May 10. That show will
take place at the Warehouse and money will be donated to Hong Kong
Unison. Very excited about this show...it will be the first time we
have played in Hong Kong since April 2008. That's over a year ago!
hahahaha...我们下个"由零开始"演出是五月十号 - 是介绍一对美国hardcore乐队叫Have
Heart！！！这场是我们荔枝王几年的第一场在香港的演出。我们从上年的四月没有在香港演出。所以我们是一点儿兴奋 hahahahaha...我们香港站之前一晚我们将会跟have

in Spanish?!?!? Philippines was a Spanish colony and they had to
fight them to become an independent natoin. So you decide to use the
language of their occupiers to apologize to them? ARE YOU DEVOID OF

HK Magazine has some soul searching to do. That's for sure...我觉得HK

Last night around 11:30pm one of the
air-conditioners in our bandroom caught fire! It took the
firefighters an hour to hose down our room! All of our stuff inside

MAR 31, 2009: MISERY SIGNALS T-SHIRTS ARE HERE
到了!!!
So I came home and a huge package was waiting for me! I opened
up the package and there were all the brand new Misery Signals
t-shirts!!! :-) DUDE - THEY LOOK SO GOOD! So psyched for these
shirts... :-) 我昨天下班之后回了家看到一个很大的箱等着我。。。我一打开看到misery
signals演出的所有t-shirt!!! 真的说 - 我觉得全部t-shirt挺好看！

So - the next few days are going to be BUSY AS HELL!!! Last night
was probably the only peaceful night I'll have - going to try to get
some sleep because I won't be getting it over the next few nights.
这几天一定会挺忙！！！昨天晚上应该会这几天最轻松的一天。。。
Yes - this is ALL very exciting...being busy like this is what I
live for. If I was busy like this ALL the time I'd be happy...life
for the next few days is just going to revolve around getting things
ready for this show, then putting it on, then unloading...and then
finally being able to sleep properly Saturday night. I think the
coolest part is that all of this work has nothing to do with my own
band. Instead all of this work is for the other bands - bands that
are performing on Friday. Honestly, being able to bands like this
makes me so proud. 可是我觉得这样的生活真的是最好的。。。有那么多事有做 -
而且全部是关于音乐的事情。也不是帮我自己的乐队 -全部是帮其他人的乐队。。。这样我真的会挺开心。。。
希望大家会明白 -
这样的行动不是我一个人做的。有很多人跟我一样为这样的行动会作出犧牲。时间，energy，睡觉，钱，等等。。。我星期五会请病假。。。I
hope everyone understands that it isn't just me that puts on these
shows. Like me, there are plenty of people who will be sacrificing
things over the next few days. Just to name some of them will be
time, energy, sleep, money, the list goes on and on...I'll be
calling in sick on Friday hehehehe...

MAR 29, 2009: KLC SHOWS SOON! 演出演出演出！！
Dude...can't begin to tell you how excited and nervous we all
are for our upcoming shows!!! :-) We are excited because personally,
the Philippines has quickly become one of our all-time favorite
places to perform (the other place that we LOVE performing in is
Guangzhou). And we're going to be playing both places in one
month!!! Of course some of our us are also a little bit nervous
because it will be their first show with KLC! :-) But we're all
brothers so we stand behind each other 100%. 真的不知道怎么跟大家说 -
我们只有一个月然后我们终于演出！！！对我来说菲律宾是我其中最爱演出的地方。。。对我们全队菲律宾是跟广州一样那么好玩和对我们一样那么热情。我们好幸运因为在一个礼拜之内我们两个地方会演出

菲律宾和广州！！！当然我们几个成员也是一点紧张这几个演出是他们跟荔枝王的第一个演出。可是我们大家是兄弟所以我们一定会用全心支持大家！！！挺期待这些演出！！！ CAN'T WAIT!!!
Now - like we mentioned a few days ago...this year has been a
weird year for Hong Kong. For some reason, this year has given birth
to a bunch of idiots who choose not to use common sense, civility,
rational ideas, or arguments based on supportive evidence. Last week
once again another incident happened in Hong Kong's LEGCO sessions
that makes me wonder where exactly is Hong Kong headed and who are
going to be our future leaders? If all of Hk's current youth watches
current TV or listens to the radio, they're going to be influenced
in such a negative way because all they see and hear on the media
are idiots who take no responsibility for their actions, and seem to
no believe in providing support for any and all their ridiculous
claims. 我们几天前有提过 -
这一年真的是一个非常古怪的一年。。。我们真的不明白突然那么多本地的笨蛋是从哪儿生出来的。这些笨蛋觉得做一位大人不需要用文明的态度来批评东西，觉得理性也是一个不需要的东西，然后也觉得批评的时候不需要给证明来支持他们的看法。上个礼拜在我们香港的立法院里发生的事真的让我想一想我们香港的将来应该会怎么样？在电视和电台上突然有很多像儿童的大人。这些"大人"也不明白他们这样的态度会怎么样影响现在的年轻人。一天这些年轻人可能会做下一代的立法会员。。。他们会不会用一样的态度和做法呢？他们会一样觉得做大人说话的时候不需要负责任？
Last week members of a political organization in HK decided that
it's okay to use curse words in LEGCO. Why would you think this is
okay in a civilized society to use curse words in a place where laws
are made and passed? What is this a sign of today? Then one of these
politicians says that by using "curse" words he's representing the
grassroots. WHAT?! Are you saying that the "grassroots" of HK are
people who are uneducated, and unaware to the importance of being
mature responsible adults in the world today, walk around swearing,

Seriously...never in my wildest dreams would these words appear
on anything related to metal or hardcore in Hong Kong.
真的不相信。。。我真的不相信一个那么大的metalcore乐队会来香港演出。。。最要想一想的东西是：
现在新入地下音乐社会的年轻人没几个月可以看那么大的heavy乐队一定会影响他们对音乐的想法。。。他们终于可以看到很高水平的乐队怎么样玩他们的乐器

怎么样负责乐队的事情。。。最cool的东西是在香港看外国乐队的演出慢慢是变了一个normal的情况。哈哈哈哈。。。我们老的人就知道我们等了很久才有这样的情况。。。只看这两年已经有:

will be playing in Hong Kong one week from today. How insane is
that? It's so weird that for young kids getting involved with music
these days, having bands like these guys coming to Hong Kong is
probably becoming "normal" for them! Whereas us older dudes can't
believe that within these past 2 years we've had such a big number
of bigger name bands are actually coming to Hong Kong: Comeback Kid,
Horse the Band, Parkway Drive, now Misery Signals... It's nuts...
We're also so proud of all the opening bands...it's going to be
a fun time. Everyone gets along with each other and we're all
looking at just having a good time on that day! :-) 我们也是对misery

MAR 24, 2009: 2009 IS THE YEAR OF COWARDS -
二零零九年是懦夫年
We all know that amongst the underground
scene it seems that a lot of cowards have risen with their
"misplaced passion" (which is my new term to describe people who put
all their passion, energy and heart into destroying things instead
of using all that passion, heart and energy into constructing,
building and using a positive heart to do things for the better of
the bigger picture).
我们大家在香港的地下社会里已经知道今年突然有点懦夫起来了。他们寄托错的热情。。。非正面的行动。。。就做非建设的行动。
But in yesterday's news was something that I thought was absolutely
APPALLED by. 可是昨天的新闻我看到一个很烦恼的消息。。。
Yesterday, the founder of the wonderful social organization that has
been helping and standing up for ethnic minorities in Hong Kong
called Unison - admitted that she has been receiving death threats
ever since she mentioned that the police officer who killed a
Nepalese man in Ho Man Tin could've been more culturally sensitive.
Since then she has received death threats and very threatening
messages from members of the public. 昨天这个很厉害的社会组织叫
unison的创立者告诉了报纸她上个礼拜开始受到了懦夫的恐吓她的email和其他封信。这全部是关于他有说一位警察杀了一位尼泊尔人没有用过一个比较铭感的方法告诉这个人放低他的东西。这位警察只用了中文跟这个少数民族说话。当然在香港不是每位少数民族可以说中文
- 所以这个尼泊尔人可能听不懂然后不放低 - 然后这个警察射了他。。。这位尼泊尔人死了。。。
有人说恐吓她的人可能是其他警察。。。真的很恐怕。。。
This is of course really troubling in many areas.
But she has said that she will never give up our goal with this
amazing organization. We also hope that she keeps fighting.
可是这位创立者说了他一定不会放弃他的组织的目标。。。我们也希望他可以继续做。
Cowards exist throughout this city. Yes, I think you cowards in the
HK music scene are cut from the same cloth as those fools that sent
Unison those death threats.
MAR 23, 2009: DON'T JOIN KLC 你不加入他们的乐队了！
So we heard over the weekend that the singer of another HK band
actually contacted our current temporary drummer and told him not to
join KLC. So as of right now - ever since 2005, every new member
that has joined KLC has been approached by people in HK that have
told them not to join KLC. Ho was approached by the guitar player of
another heavy band to not join KLC.
这个周末听到我们其中一个成员又收到别人的意见。这位人是另外一个香港乐队的注音。从二零零五年我们每一位新加入乐队的人是受到外面人的意见 -
全部是跟他们说同一句 你不加入他们的乐队！你知道riz是老板！你知道riz想控制这个音乐社会！ 挺好笑 -
我还不明白一个人怎么可以控制一个音乐社会呢？有这样的可能吗？我真的有这个能力吗？如果我有我真的很厉害！哈哈哈。。。或者如果你可以给我（或者其他人）控制你，是不是代表你自己很有问题？哈哈哈。。。Ho半年前已经受到不少人的意见
- 一次他收到另外香港乐队的吉他手的意见。一样的意见。 When there are more pressing problems that exist in the world -
it's so sad that your lives revolve around trying to ruin and
destroy KLC. Seriously - go get a life, better yet, go try and get a
job and develop a passion for something so that you can put all your
energy, your hatred, your disgust to some good use.
当然我永远不会明白这样的人。我真的对你们很可惜 - 你们的生命是那么无聊，你每天就是想我。好像你的生命的目标就是杀king ly
chee和我. 哈哈哈。。。真的对你们很对不起，无论如何我永远会存在。
I raise my glass to the death of any sort of community that once
existed here. I think Inti decided to leave this music culture at
the right time - the more time goes on, the more it is apparent that
this is no hope for this city of children. 我想举杯因为在香港
团结这个字终于什么意思都没有了。我几年前猜不到香港地下音乐的情况可以再差。可是真的可以。。。good job! :-)
MAR 22, 2009: ELIMINATION OF RACISM CARNIVAL/PROPAGANDHI
First of all yesterday's
carnival was so much fun! Ho and I were there at 9am helping set up
the stage and the venue and we met lots of other South Asians at the
event which was great. We also met the heads of that wonderful
organization called Unison who we'll be working more with in the
future. The whole carnival was to attract more and more local
Chinese people to the event so they can watch performances by many
different South Asian groups like: Nepalese, Pakistani, Filipino,
Indians, etc. They invited all these different schools to perform at
the event, the also had the schools be in charge of all the games
and food booths. It was a great event which I thought was very
successful...I didn't see anyone from the music "scene" there so
that was disappointing. But maybe you came I don't know...第一。。。昨天的國際消除種族歧視日嘉年華會我觉得真的非常成功。我跟ho早上九点钟到场帮他们set-up台和很多其他东西。然后我们认识了很多其他南亚洲人。我们也终于认识了Unison这个非常厉害的组织

MAR 20, 2009: ANNOYING挺烦恼
So something super annoying happened to me/King Ly Chee
yesterday. I am thoroughly annoyed still now and it's way past 12
hours since all of this has passed. 昨天我收到了一个非常烦恼的email.
已经过了半天可是我还是一样那么不开心。 You all know that as a band we have always been about talking
about issues regarding minorities in Hong Kong. Being a minority
member myself you can say I am way sensitive to this issue here.
大家知道我们这个乐队是非常关心香港的少数民族的问题。当然是因为我自己是一位巴基斯坦人所以我是对这个问题更加铭感。 for the past 10 years I have been involved with joining
workshops to promote awareness, write songs, have done interviews on
TV, magazines, books, newspapers, etc. We have also organized shows
in the past to support organizations in Hong Kong that provide care
and assistance to minorities.这十年我参加了很多关于少数民族的活动。我跟很多不同的组织合作 -
上了他们办公室里跟他们的会员谈谈我在香港长大的经验等等。。。跟不同的杂志，报纸，电视，做过很多访问。而且我们也安排了不少的演出捐赠不同的组织。通常是捐给关心少数民族的组织。
For King Ly Chee's upcoming May 10th show that we're organizing
I decided to contact one organization in Hong Kong because I was
hoping to donate money from each ticket sales to this organization.
We have done this before and have never had a problem. All I wanted
was their logo to put on our promotional materials to raise more
awareness about this organization with our audience and supporters.
They were very interested and asked me to send them King Ly Chee's
website to check us out.
为了我们将会在香港出的演出（五月十号）我有跟一个组织联络。我想每一张的票可以捐点钱给他们。我希望给我们的支持着一点机会认识这个组织。
就是一个可以宣传他们所做的那么有同情心的服务。我一联系他们，他们有兴趣。然后他叫我给他们看我们的网站。我就是需要拿到他们的logo。
So I waited a few weeks for their response. Finally I emailed them
yesterday because we're looking to start promoting the show soon。
然后我等了几个礼拜可是我没收到他们的回答。所以我昨天早上再联系他们因为我想马上开始宣传这个演出所以我真的需要尽快收到他们的logo.
They replied 然后我终于收到他们的回答:
"Unfortunately your
music doesn't fit the 'image' of our organization (I have taken
their organization's name off). 真可惜你们的音乐不适合我们组织的印象."
So they won't let us use their logo on our posters and other
promotional materials.
他们决定了我们的乐队不适合他们的组织所以他们不给我放他们的logo在我们所有的宣传的东西。I am so
disappointed...我真的很失望。。。in 2009 heavy music still has the same old
reputation that we're nothing but destructive and there's no way
that we could be singing about something positive or addressing
social issues in Hong Kong。在二零零九年，在这个年代香港还有很多人还以为heavy的音乐是非建設性的的音乐，不可能是正面的。不可能是唱关心社会的歌词。.
So disappointed...真的很失望。。。如果有人觉得我们香港的heavy不要受到一种歧视感哪你真想错了。。。anyone
that thinks it's not a struggle playing in a heavy band in HK should
really think again.
ANYWAY反正！！！
明天就是一个很正面的嘉年华。。。是关于少数民族的。将会尖沙咀的文化中心做的。。。希望如果大家有时间的话可以过去看看！是下午一点钟开始。Tomrrow

organized a carnival to be held at the Cultural Center in Tsim Sha

MAR 18, 2009: 作band时间
Oh my god...I must be the biggest idiot on
the planet...I didn't even know that Inti from Zhou Band Si Gan's
last show was going to be this Sunday!!! HER LAST SHOW!!! She has
been doing this supporting HK bands for well over 10 years...she has
always been one of the staples of the underground HK scene. She had
a radio station program and would promote local bands on it, play
their songs, and interview bands. She was one of the best supporters
King Ly Chee ever had. In 2000 we released our first album We Are
Who We Are and she called us into her studio to interview us. It was
incredible to get that kind of support for a brand new band at that
time. She even continued to promote us until our CD release
show...amazing she was amazing.
我真的不相信。。。我们香港的电台节目作band时间这个礼拜天是最后一个！！！真可惜了。。。Inti就是一位挺支持香港乐队的人 -
挺支持摇滚音乐和文化。我们第一次认识他就是十年前 - 她这十年一路继续支持我们 无论这个乐队的成员变了怎么样 -
她还在支持我们请我们上去她的电台节目做访问和宣传我们的新作品。她十年前是第一次上去她电台节目宣传我们当时的作品 这就是我们。。。
Even after 2000 she always called us to come up to do any promoting
of any of our releases. No matter how many times this band's members
have changed - she has always supported it.
I think it's a huge loss to Hong Kong that she isn't going to be
here anymore. I asked her on MSN what she's going to do now and she
told me that she just wanted to relax and do some traveling.
我昨天在msn问了她之后会做什么。。。她说就是放松一下。。。去travel...
Thank you Inti for all your support of me and my band! We are one of
the luckiest people to have met you...your selfless support for ALL
of Hong Kong will never be forgotten. 谢谢inti那么多年的支持。。。我们真的很幸运有您一位那么无私的人。。。你对香港乐队的热情我们永远不会忘记。
It's so sad and ironic - a mature person like that who actually
KNOWS about music and has been involved with music in Hong Kong in
over 10 years is leaving the airwaves, right when an idiot who
thinks he knows everything about music (calling Refused a band from
Poland shows how ignorant this fool is and just how baseless all his
arguments are) has a radio show where he goes on and on and on and
on about how we all suck and are "fake" and thinks this is going to
be a positive influence.
真的很悲哀的。。。因为这个时候一个那么成熟所有音乐和香港的音乐历史的人不会继续作她的那么正面的节目，可是同时我们有一个无知以为自己什么都知道的人开始了一个电台节目（说refused是从波蘭来的就是代表他的无知和代表他所说的是那么無基礎的
- 那么简单的事他还不会自己出去研究。一点责任感都没有。）。真的可惜了。。。inti的那么正面影响我们大家一定很快会想念。。。
MAR 17, 2009: 港女。。。一个地球
These are two good TV shows that have been on
TV recently. Brian told me two days ago about this TV show
discussing a term called "港女" which is Hong Kong Girl. It discusses
the stereotypical HK girl and it's pretty crazy how dead-on the
description is. Anyway - that's on youtube already and is great to
watch if you understand Chinese. 现在有两个好看的电视节目。一个是关于 "港女"
的题目。。。一看就知道这个节目有什么立场。 我觉得特有意思。。。
The better
show to me is the one that features Paul on NOW TV that is about
taking people and traveling around the world to show local people
places such as the South Pole and other places. While there they
talk about societies impact on the world etc...it's amazing...such a
great show - very inspirational. 第二个电视节目我觉得比较好看很多。是关于paul wong跟一间香港的电视台
（now)
去南极做一个关于环保和地球的节目。。。挺有意思。。。我觉得电视二十四小时应该就播这样的电视节目。。。不要播平时播的挺无聊的游戏。。。我看这样的节目真的想自杀。。。。
Yesterday I introduced a more heavy hardcore band called Reign
Supreme...today I'm going to introduce a little bit more of an
emotional type of hardcore band - (if you're a fan of bands like
Modern Life is War then you'll love this band)...the band is called
Defeater. I was totally taken by surprise by this band...sooooooooooo
good...昨天我有介绍一个比较heavey的硬核乐队。。。今天我想介绍一个比较传统硬核乐队。。。他们是叫defeater...我一听觉得挺surprise

My girlfriend is hanging out
in Beijing this week...she's so lucky... :-( While I'm stuck in
horrible Hong Kong for the week - she gets to be up
there..这个礼拜我女朋友是在北京。。。她很幸运。。。我在这个无聊的城市。。。她在一个那么好玩的城市。。。
I was talking to a person named Brian online last night. This guy
used to live in Hong Kong and watched King Ly Chee in like 2001 and
even bought one of our very first KingLy Chee shirts. Two
years ago he moved to the US and happened to live in a house with
the guys in Champion! He then joined a band that features some of
the Champion guys and Figure Four guys called Grave Maker. They tour
all over the world - and they recently did a huge tour with Comeback
Kid, Bane, Misery Signals, etc...He quit that band though and now
plays in the huge hardcore band called Outbreak! 我昨天晚上在msn跟一位朋友叫brian聊天。他以前是在香港住的。。。然后他零一年的时候办了去美国。他在美国住的地方是跟Champion乐队几个成员一起住的！然后他跟他们建立朋友之后开始了一个乐队叫Grave
Maker - 这个乐队是feature Champion和Figure Four的成员。他们最近跟comeback kid,
misery signals, bane, 一起去了一个很大的巡演。然后brian放弃了grave
maker然后进了另外一个很大的乐队叫Outbreak...
他很幸运了！！！可以跟那么厉害的硬核乐队巡演做到一个硬核的生活。。。
Pretty crazy that this guy is playing in all these huge bands and
he's from Hong Kong!

Okay - here's an awesome hardcore band that you guys gotta check
out...if you're fans of Hatebreed, Terror, you know - the heavier
type of hardcore then get into this band: Reign Supreme. Trust me -

DVD!!! It has a lot of super hard working hardcore bands featured on

We just confirmed over the weekend that May 9 we will play in
Guangzhou along with the hardcore band Have Heart. Then we will come
back to HK on May 10 and play the show along with Have Heart and
Contact Chord in HK at the Warehouse. Very exciting!!! Can't WAIT to

MAR 12, 2009: PROPAGANDHI - possibly the most intelligent punk rock
band on the planet? Propagandhi可能是这个地球的最聪明的乐队吗？
So I finally got Propagandhi's new album
"Supporting Caste" and this album is incredible. What is incredible
about it? That this band has been around for such a long time but
can still release quality punk rock album after album after album.
This latest release continues down their road of mixing crazy
amazing punk-metal guitar riffs, with some of the most amazing
drumming I've heard on a punk rock album in a LONG time, and then on
top of all of this - they have some of the most intelligent lyrics I
think I have read in a long time. There easily hasn't been a release
in the past few years that has actually inspired me to take a
dictionary out to learn more about the topics of the songs, or a
release that makes me want to read about issues all over the world.

caste。。。这个唱片真的挺厉害。一个乐队怎么可以越出唱片越好听！一开始你会听到非常好听的吉他riff, 然后这个鼓手是挺牛b!!!

Propagandhi to me is the quintessential punk rock band. They write
music that is incredibly addictive and obviously show that the
musicians in this band actually KNOW how to play their instruments.
Then they have lyrics that touch on issues that are worldly - and
they write the lyrics in such a way that it WILL force you to want
to learn more about the issue. Then they also include a list of
books, movies, and articles that you should read so you can become
more informed about the issue.

Lamb of God's newest album was No. 2 on the Billboard charts!
Can you believe metal can be NUMBER TWO in the US?! Lamb of God was

MAR 8, 2009: PHOTOS
So on Tuesday last week our good friend Terence took some time
from his busy schedule to take some last minute band photos for us.
These photos are being used in the Philippines' largest music
magazine called Pulp Magazine. Pulp Magazine did an interview and
feature on us because we're taking part in this year's HUGE Summer
Slam music festival that they have in Manila. We played it last year
in front of 24,000 people - I have NO idea how many people will be
there this time but it should be AMAZING!!! This year they'll have
Shadows Fall as the main headline band.
Okay - yes, we don't have the Misery Signals tickets printed
yet. Ho says the printers have told him that their was some problem.
He's still working on it. Should be ready soon... Will let you all know...
Today we have more band practice!!! Can't wait...we have two
very nice dudes who are helping us for all our upcoming shows. These
dudes travel from far every weekend to come practice with
us...hearts in the right places and they're committed. So amazing
that they're doing this for us...

I cannot believe a university professor from Hong Kong was
barred from entering Macau! That is RIDICULOUS - he was invited to
give a talk at the University of Macau. So he is an academic that
was invited by another academic institution to give a talk. It
could've been a talk about the article 23 that has just been
implemented in Macau. But the point is that he is JUST an academic!
If he has views that are different from the government there so
what? What kind of a show of freedom is there? Freedom of thoughts,
freedom of expression, freedom of words...ZERO. And the government
there still says this has nothing to do with the passing of Article
23? That's
crazy...我真的不相信一位香港大学的教授给澳门的政府閂进澳门。真的很笨。。。他就是给一个澳门大学邀请他过来做一个特别的talk.

To make it worse - that IDIOT Stanley Ho has the nerve to chime in
and say stupid shit about he's happy that these "people" are not
being allowed to enter Macau! He is such an idiot. Why can't people
like that who have no understanding of freedoms just keep their
mouth shut. Does he really think people are stupid? EVERYONE knows
that the reason he's saying all this shit is to continue to get
support from the China government. As long as he keeps saying this
type of crap, he will continue to get support for all his projects

Once again some sad shit happened in Pakistan. Yesterday, a
cricket team from Sri Lanka was attacked by stupid religious
militants in Pakistan as the team was arriving at the stadium. These
stupid extremists attacked athletes! Why would you attack athletes?
Out of all the countries in the world - why would you attack Sri
Lankan athletes? These are people who already come from an
impoverished background and are just visiting Pakistan to play a
sport!巴基斯坦又经过一个很悲的事情。。。一般很笨蛋的几顿主义者攻击了一般从斯里蘭卡来巴基斯坦玩板球的板球员。。。他们就是运动员。。。你为什么会攻击一般来你国家的队员？他们跟你们的政府里的问题有什么关系？！？！
I feel so sorry for my country...because of these militants -
these stupid extremists, all the positive things that people are
trying to do for Pakistan, constantly ends up being destroyed.

the next day is back to work. That's not a good thing

Anyway...
Watched Recycle over the weekend in Hong Kong...and god they're
such a good band...every band member plays in that band like their
life depends on that band being successful. That's what makes
certain bands GREAT and certain bands totally worth skipping. Bands
who play like their lives depend on it play with a whole different
intensity that just can't be compared. Recycle's drummer is still
and easily my favorite punk rock drummer...I hope he was able to
inspire a lot of people last night at the
show...这个周末看了recycle在香港演出。。。十分好看。。。他们全队真的挺厉害。。。他们玩音乐的Style就是我觉得最吸人。。。因为他们玩的时候很明显他们当这个乐队就是他们的生命。一个乐队这样跟他们乐队玩的感觉是比较深很多。。。跟其他乐队的比较是挺大。。。每个乐队应该是这样玩音乐。。。就是我的信念。。。recycle的鼓手挺厉害。。。希望他有影响了很多人。。。

Brian's trying to record the guitars to CNHC but I'm too tired to

FEB 26, 2009: WEEK
Dude...this has been a long fucking week. I have two more kids
that I tutor now so it's Mon to Thursday that I am not done working
until like 6 or 6:30 (I start work at 7:15am)...it just sucks
dude...It's nice to be making this extra money - but it is fucking
tiring. By 8pm I am SOOOO tired. Last night I fell asleep at 9pm...这个礼拜真的过得挺慢。。。我这个礼拜指导了多两个小朋友所以我星期一到四差不多六点或六点半才下班
（我每天七点十五分钟上班）。。。 So - don't know what to really tell you because I work so much
that it's hard to stay in touch with what's going on in the city or
around the world. 反正因为我每天工作到chi sin我真的不知道有什么好稍息可以通知大家。。。
What I have realized over the
past few days...可是这几天我终于明白了一个很深的事情。。。
The reason that HK's underground heavy music community always seems
to have petty petty problems...I mean racked with petty ridiculous
issues...I realized is that the people involved in the heavy music
community in HK are just very immature. That's what is a big problem
in Hong Kong in general. All the backstabbing you see or hear here,
the comments that people make about each other, the issues that
people have with each other, are so childish that it disappoints me
that me at my age I have to still have to be working in this type of
immature and childish environment/culture.
几年前我已经有想过也问过别人这个问题：为什么在香港听重音乐的人的行为像小朋友一样？
在别人后面说的谎话，看着别人的时候一起来笑一笑，可是在这个人后面说很多废话。我们这个世界已经是很小的可是如果人有误会的话他们还不会拿电话解决这个问题。。。一解决大家可以再继续走下一步因为这个障碍已经没有了。
可是在香港别人不喜欢面对误会了的事，反而他们喜欢信别人说什么然后留这个障碍在别人跟他们的中间。你可以看有些人有什么批评。
当然批评是一个好事情 - 没有批评哪大家怎么可以进步？可是有些人有个挺极端的批评 -
很明显开始不理性的想法。可是在美国和其他很成熟的音乐社会里几十年前已经经过了这样的挺极端的说法，想法和做法。慢慢那边的人发现了这样的极端批评没有什么好的后果
-
反而会让他们的社会变的不太健康。他们发现了如果他们有很极端的想法哪他们还不需要用这个态度和想法去评价他人。个人有个人的想法。成熟的人会给个人自己想一想。
But I think things will eventually change. As more and more of us
reach 30 and over, and if we are still playing in bands and still
working on continuing to create a better music climate - people will
realize that petty childish high-school drama is not part of a music
climate that THEY want to be involved in.
I really am jealous of those music communities all over the world
that are mature and therefore healthy and productive...
One day we'll get there...
FEB 23, 2009: WHAT?! 不会吧！ 周末已经玩完了
WEEKEND OVER?!
I hate Sunday nights...last night I was watching the news with
Ho in our studio and the reporter said "Have a good night..." and I
yelled at the TV "Have a good night?! Tomorrow is Monday and we're
all back to work! How can we have a good night tonight!?" hahahahaha...我最恨的日子一定是星期天。。。我昨天晚上跟ho在我们band房看着电视的时候突然听到记者说
希望你的晚上过得好 something like that la"...然后我很大声对着我们电视说
怎么可以过得好！明天是星期一！大家要上班！！！ 哈哈哈哈哈。。。。 We had a great Sunday...we tried out a drummer and this dude has
shown CRAZY potential not to mention a lot of heart. The most
important thing is that when Mike heard him playing drums - MIKE WAS
IMPRESSED! :-) If Mike was impressed then this must be someone with
a LOT of potential.
我们的星期天过得不错。。。我们有试过一位鼓手。。。挺有希望。。。最重要是mike非常喜欢这个人打鼓的style!
如果mike喜欢这个人一定有希望！哈哈哈哈。。。

the fastest band photo I think we've ever taken. We went under our
building and took maybe 5 photos. We looked at them and were like
whatever - that's fine.

I can't believe we have two months before we play our first show in
a long time!!! I can't wait to play again...I'm dying to play...and
for our first show of 2009 to be in the beautiful Philippines is

FEB 21, 2009: OLD FRIENDS 舊朋友
Last night hung out with old friends...friends from my first
year back in HK in 1999...it was Fai and Shun from the old HK band
called Fat Job. it was great being with those dudes again...Fai was
a very close friend of mine for awhile - and it's good to see that
the guy hasn't changed at all! hahahahaha...Shun was the same ol'
Shun - cool and mellow...昨天晚上我跟我很舊的朋友一起吃饭和聊天儿。。。是我九九年刚回来香港的朋友们 -
是以前香港乐队发作的成员fai和shun. 有个时间fai是我好朋友 -
所以昨天晚上终于有机会再聊天儿真的特开心。。。他真的还没变过！哈哈哈哈。。。 Fai owns an old school car that is SOOOOOO damn awesome...i took
a pic of it but i'm too tired to upload it now.他有个超正的old schoool车。。。我拍照可是我现在太lazy上载。。。
So over the past few days a HK based photojournalist was barred
entry into Macau. I don't know about you guys but I think that's so
strange and very worrying...this guy wasn't an actual reporter, but
a photographer and for some reason he was restricted entry into
Macau. 这几天的新闻我有留意关于澳门的海关不给一位香港的拍照人进去澳门的新闻。
真的有点儿恐怕的事情。。。他不是一个记者就是拍政治东西的人 - 这样还不给他进去是个担心的行为。。。 These types of situations are worrying in general - of course if
something like that happened in HK lots of people would go crazy.
But Macau is a much more different place...

Yes, so if you have had time to watch the video that I posted
yesterday and that SFS Records posted as well - then you will know
that our very first Hong Kong show since April 2008 will take place
on May 10 this year. We will be opening for the great
message-oriented hardcore band Have Heart. These guys have been
touring non-stop for the past few years and have earned incredible
amounts of respect from people all over the world. It's also nice to
finally have an actual hardcore band play in Hong Kong! The last
time we organized a show for an actual hardcore band was the great
Comeback Kid in 2008.

2009: MISERY SIGNALS LIVE IN HONG KONG PROMO!!!
I finally finished the promo last night! I'm so excited that
every time I make one of these videos I think I get better and
better at it! :-) The program that I taught myself is
Premiere...easy as hell to use and you have so much at your
disposal!!! I love that because of King Ly Chee and Start From
Scratch since 1999 I have taught myself so many things (including
Chinese - speaking and reading!)...if that isn't a strong DIY
attitude then what is it?!??! hahahahah...我终于做完了misery
signals的短片！！！我挺兴奋因为我每次做一个短片我觉得我有进步多一点儿！这次我有自学premiere的program!!!
我觉得是挺容易的也是很好玩。。。

FEB 17, 2009: LAMB OF GOD...other shit
So I think it's safe to say in the metal world, the release of
the new Lamb of God album that comes out next week is a HUGE HUGE
HUGE event! They've released their first music video from a song
from the album...and they released a new song yesterday as
well...it's crazy - a few months ago the song that they actually
uploaded first I didn't like at all. But now after watching the
video and listening to the new song they uploaded - I CANNOT wait to
buy this album! (Yes - I still buy CD's unlike you BT assholes who
download shit for free! hahahaha...)

So the asshole "leader" of Zimbabwe has bought a house in HK
that is worth 40 million. This is while his country is in
ruins...over 1,000 people have died from cholera...his country is
one of the poorest countries in the world - but he thinks it's okay
to spend this much of it's countries money on personal homes.
That's easily what we call in english - a piece of shit.
FEB 16, 2009: GREAT WEEKEND 周末不错！！！
Had a great weekend...didn't really do much but walked around a
lot with Alison and then yesterday had a great time jamming with
mike and ho...it was the first time we had an almost full band
practice getting the band ready for the upcoming Philippines tour!!!
SOOOOOOOOOO excited to get back over there...it's pretty crazy.
Brian wasn't there so we haven't had a FULL band practice yet but we
should be having it soon...这个周末过得不错。。。我星期六就是跟alison逛逛。。。在旺角找到一个特好笑的铺头。。。你可以上我facebook看看！

really can't wait to announce the show that we're playing in Hong
Kong on May 10th!!! I'm just waiting for Ho to confirm the poster
design and then we'll announce the whole thing at one time...In
general I don't think this band's "style" of hardcore is something
that most people in HK are going to be attracted to. But to us as a
hardcore band, we are incredibly honored to be playing with a
hardcore band that has so much belief, has been touring the world
singing their songs knee-deep in meaning and message...for us to be
organizing their show in HK is a very exciting thing for us and
we're excited to be with these guys...Plus we haven't played in HK
since April 2008 so we're pretty excited to be playing back on our
own home-turf.
The only thing you need to do today is watch my good friend's in
Recycle's new music video and then come watch them when they play on
Feb 28 in Hong Kong!!! 你们今天只需要看一个很重要的东西。。。就是我好朋友北京乐队再循环的新MV!!!

我们将会在香港演出的日子会有一个很大美国来的hardcore乐队跟我们一起演出。 可是他们的风格大部人应该不会太喜欢。。。他们是很old
school那种的风格。。。我们荔枝王的成员挺喜欢这种hardcore也很尊重这个style因为八十年代的hardcore都是这样开始。
我们是挺尊重这个文化的历史所以特喜欢听这个风格。。。我们确定了poster的design然后会通知大家这个乐队是谁。。我们当然很兴奋可以跟他们一起表演
- 做他们的开场乐队。。。The show we're going to play on May 10th is with
a pretty huge hardcore band...They're style is not particularly a
style of hardcore that most HK kids are going to be into...but we as
a band love this style because this always reminds us the roots of
hardcore and how it sounded in the 80's when this culture
began...this is where it all came from so when we hear bands like
this we do get excited! We're very excited that they're coming here
and that we'll be opening for them. Quite an honor!

Last weekend I watched the movie 7 Pounds with Alison...this is the
new Will Smith movie...as all movies that I watch in the movie
theater I love going into the theater without knowing ANYTHING about
the story. With this movie I had NO idea what the story was and I
was SO blown away! It is an amazing movie and I'm not going to blow
the story for you...just remember to bring a box of tissues!

Looks like we'll be playing a Hong Kong show soon...the show will
take place May 10 but we're confirming more things about it before
we announce the show. We haven't played since April 2008 in Hong
Kong so it'll be interesting to see who if anyone turns up to watch

crap...organizing and managing this past Parkway Drive show kicked
my ass so much that yesterday I called in sick to work and slept all
day. It was actually quite ridiculous. Those who know me know that
all I do 24 hours a day is work work work work - very rarely do I
get tired...so I was quite surprised with myself
yesterday...probably just the fact that there was a BILLION things
to be on top of!!!

Holy shit SOOOOO busy getting things ready for the Parkway Drive
