okay – wish i could give you all some good news about the CD but we still don’t know what’s going on. the printers have everything but they need to check everything to make sure its all printable. they should be telling me by today some time what’s going on and then we can get a date of when the CD will ACTUALLY be out…

i’m hoping Jan 15 is when everything will be in shops…but i can’t be sure…we’ve already changed the date once (from 23-12 to 30-12) but now it looks like it’ll be middle of january…QUITE annoying if you ask me…but oh well…

the milk magazine interview came out yesterday too…the reporter that we know at Milk (czarina) rules…she’s an amazing reporter and is so careful with the detailed information she provides…check it out in our press page…HERE

DUDE!!! i got my Slash and Dimebag Darrell figures yesterday!!! WOOHOO!!! they looks SOOOOOOOOOOO awesome! the dimebag Darrell is so so so so detailed…it came with a metal plate to glue Dimebag Darrell into…his guitar is the blue Dean guitar so nice…the slash figure comes with a huge Marshall guitar amp!!! i love this stuff…i’m hoping to get the Motley Crue figures soon!!! :-)

as promised…here are some photos that i took of my trip to Li Jiang…man – just looking over the photos makes me wish i was still there… :-( i’ve only been back like 24 hours and i already feel overwhelmed with stress…aaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh…life here is nuts.

this is right outside where we lived (during the day time):

this is right outside where we lived (at night):

this is the home that we lived in – it was like a guesthouse owned by a really nice couple (we lived on the second floor):

this is a picture of the local people called “Na Xi納西” people doing a wonderful dance…what both my girlfriend noticed about this part of china is that EVERYONE sings!!! no matter where you go people are singing…that is the beauty of the local culture. they love songs, love singing and love playing instruments…it was incredible. if you went to a restaurant, the waiter and waitresses were singing, the cooks were singing, the people eating will sing along with the restaurant staff! it was so amazing…:

a night time photo of another part of the 古城  those beautiful lights on top of the houses were found throughout the whole old town…the lights looked so warm at night…:

this is the photo of the incredible painter who helped me make 5 specially designed King Ly Chee t-shirts for my bro’s in the band…he has SUCH talent for painting! the 5 shirts he painted for me and had them ready in like 4 hours!!! insane…:

this is the beautiful Jade Dragon Snow Mountain that is on one side of Li Jiang city…this is the mountain we went up to on the second last day to hang out in the FREEZING cold snow…:

and finally – having fun in the snow!!! :-)

i caught my girlfriend about to kick my ass with snow! look at the size of that snowball she threw at me! hahahaha…

like i mentioned yesterday…if you have a chance – GO…go fast and soon…

on king ly chee news: still working on getting the factory to start printing the CD…we finally got a quotation for the CD yesterday and we should be sending everything to them today. hopefully we’ll get it out within the next two weeks…sucks that its taking so long! sorry about that!

have you guys read the Dong Touch interview with us that came out this week? if you haven’t…then check it out in our PRESS section click HERE

woohoo!!! i’m finally home! but i do have to say…this was one trip that i didn’t feel like leaving from…we went to a city called “麗江” (Li Jiang) which is part of Yunnan 云南province in Southwestern china…we stayed in the “old town”麗江古城  part of this city and it was UNBELIEVABLE! the area and the little house we stayed in has been around for hundreds of years and it was just amazing to be back in history…the weather was freezing – it was 5 degrees or less…the city is surrounded by some of the most beautiful mountains (including Jade Dragon Snow Mountain – totally snow covered!!)  i have ever seen…outside the city are hundreds and hundreds of the most beautiful farms that stretched as far as the eye could see… http://www.travelchinaguide.com/picture/yunnan/lijiang/index.htm here are some amazing photos of the place…we saw ALL of the things that you see in the photos…the incredible old people of the Naxi minority!!! we went to watch a musical performance of traditional Naxi music and that was UNBELIEVABLE to watch…the main leader of this musical group was 70 something years old and he has been playing this music since he was a child. he even talked about the 20 years he was thrown into prison during the Cultural Revolution because he was a musician…imagine that…

on one of the days we went to a snow mountain that was right next to where we were living…it was AN incredible mountain! when we got near the top – it started snowing which was beautiful…totally beautiful…the temperature was -15 degrees up there! SOOOOO cold – but one of the best parts of the trip…i got to kick my girlfriends ass in the snow! hahahaha…throwing so many snowballs on her…right before both our feet got cold and my toes almost fell off! hahahaha…

if any of you have time in the next few years…you should try to go to this part of Yunnan before it becomes fully commercialized like the rest of china is becoming unfortunately. even this part of china is showing plenty of signs of commercialization – even though it is surrounded by nothing but nature and SO FAR away from huge bustling cities…its weird that even this remote part of china isn’t free from the evils of commercialization.

one good news that i found out on the whole trip was that the government of China was getting rid of the decades old “agriculture tax” that the Chinese governments makes the poor poor farmers pay every year! that is GREAT news for these poor farmers…the place we were visiting, like i mentioned above, is totally surrounded by farms and you can see how incredibly hard their work is. i don’t care about anyone in HK who complains about how hard their job is – try to be a farmer and see what its like. this is back-breaking work, working under the HOT HOT sun OR the COLD COLD winter, pushing cattle around, plowing fields, picking miles and miles of crops, all for how much? a few cents! can you believe that…its so sad…if you’re born into a farming family, that seems like its your destiny. but finally the chinese government is trying to look out for their farmers. they’re going to get rid of this agriculture tax, and they’re looking at finding other ways to help the farmers prosper like the rest of china has been prospering these past few years…

oh man…what a great vacation there’s so much more that happened that i can’t remember because so much stuff happened and there was so much to see…i got sick on the first day and puked on the plane! that was horrible…my girlfriend got sick the next day! sucked…while we were there we met this awesome painter who painted the most beautiful paintings right on to t-shirts! i got like 3 made for myself and i got one done for each of my bro’s in the band…can’t believe i’m back in cement-hell hong kong …check out the photos…just look at how amazing that town is…

okay – bad news…looks like while i was gone our CD production has been met with non-stop problems…first of all, our brother Wah Dee has been having a HARD time trying to master the CD. so i don’t know what stage we’re at now…but there’s no way we can get the CD out on the 30th…sorry about that…but i’m back now so we’ll get everything sorted out over the next few days…

can’t wait to go back to 云南one day…i think the next time i travel with my girlfriend we’re going to be going to 新疆  i want to visit all the most remote places of china before every one of these places becomes like Shanghai or Beijing…totally over-crowded by tourists and insanely commercial…

as soon as my girlfriend downloads the millions of photo’s i took with her camera – i’ll upload them here so you can see them…it was one of the most peaceful trips i’ve been on – it was the first time in a long time i was able to actually enjoy quiet and peace…now i’m back in stress crazy hong kong…yippee…

OH MY GOD!!! we’ve had such a busy past couple of days…i am actually on holidays from my work because we’re on christmas break – but i still feel like i’m doing a full-time job because we’re trying to finish all the stuff for this CD. the past 3 days we’ve been working with our dear sweet friend Wah Dee at touch music trying to finish the mix of the CD and getting it all done before today…

today’s message is dedicated to our friend Wah Dee…this guy has worked is ASS off trying to help us finish this CD on time. he has worked HOURS AND HOURS on our recording…helping us mix stuff, then remix it, then remix it, then remix it…all because we’re so picky about the sound we want. he has also been doing this while being sick at the same time! this poor guy has not complained yet even though he doesn’t feel good…he knows that we have to meet our deadline and so he’s continue to work on it…

finally – yesterday we finished the mix and put the CD together…i had to leave because i need to finish the cover artwork by today as well. so i think everything should be done and in the hands of either Ming or Alex today to send to the printers…can’t wait to get this CD out finally…i’m pretty sure that when the CD comes out that the whole band will want to take Wah Dee out for a nice dinner! hahahahaha…the poor guy deserves an AWESOME meal from us…

okay – more information on our tour is up on our myspace…the LLNR page isn’t working so i can’t upload the dates for any of our 2006 shows…so please go to our myspace page: www.myspace.com/kinglychee to find out what dates we have for next year…besides our upcoming tour – we also got awesome news that an amazing US hardcore band called Die Young is coming to Hong Kong on april 22! that’s going to be awesome…

today – i’m travelling to “Yunan” in china until next wednesday to try and relax since the past few weeks have been crazy for this band…hopefully i’ll try NOT to think about king ly chee – but everyone knows that won’t happen…i think about this crazy band in my sleep – i eat, drink and breathe this band…hahahaha…

okay – leaving now…have a wonderful christmas everyone!!! when i’m back – it’ll be a few more days until our CD’s out!!! woohoo!!!

damn tough day of mixing yesterday…finished two songs – End of Suffering (remixed from the version that’s on our site now and on the promo CD) AND a brand new song called Skinless…it sounds good but its not perfect…need to work on it some more today along with the other two songs on the CD Sisters and Terror…

have been listening to Parkway Drive the past 2 days…god – what an amazing record and the songs are insane…pretty much the typical metal-core that you all love or love to hate…but absolutely better then ANY metal-core garbage that has been coming out lately…and the production – DAMN its so good…

okay – too tired to write more…going to bed…
